Beginning December 1, 2019, Beacon Health Options (Beacon) will manage
process Emblem Health’s behavioral health claims for GHI members.
The exact start date for this transition will be member-specific, and where to submit a claim can be determined by checking the back of the member ID card. Beacon will process claims that have the following mailing address on the member ID card: Emblem Behavioral Health, P.O. Box 1850, Hicksville, NY 11802.
Only claims with a date of service after December 1, 2019 (for members with the Hicksville address on their member ID card), should be submitted to Beacon for processing. All other claims should be submitted to EmblemHealth as usual.
For members who do not have this address on the member ID card, claims should continue to be submitted to EmblemHealth (GHI) until the member ID is updated to reflect the Hicksville address.
You will be able to submit authorization requests through ProviderConnect for inpatient and outpatient services beginning with date of service December 1, 2019 for any GHI member with a new member ID card that shows the claims mailing address of “Emblem Behavioral Health, P.O. Box 1850, Hicksville, NY 11802”.
