Affinity Health Plan Becomes Part of Molina Healthcare
Affinity has announced that, pending regulatory approval, Affinity’s assets will be acquired by Molina Healthcare of New York, Inc. and its health plan operations will operate under the name ‘Affinity by Molina Healthcare” beginning November 2021. Affinity’s members will automatically become members to Affinity by Molina Healthcare unless they select another health plan. Molina offers managed care services under the Medicaid and Medicare programs, as well as through the state insurance marketplaces.
This transaction will not interfere with the provider’s continued provision of medical services to Affinity members after they are enrolled in Molina Healthcare of New York, Inc. Provider’s existing Participating Provider Agreement (“Provider Agreement”) will remain in effect and the compensation and other related business terms of Provider Agreement will not change.
